Addison knows she is not allowed on the furniture, so I guess she thinks as long as 1 leg is on the ground she is okay!

A couple of quick xmas ornaments

Here are a couple quick xmas ornaments (gifts) that I just finished the "finishing" I have been busing stitching others as well.

These are from Plum Pudding Needleart Designs.

My Funky Flamingo

I bought this canvas called the Funky Flamingo, I am having so much fun working on it. It is fun because of the different stitches that can be used to create it. I have also been busy working on xmas and exchange gifts that I cannot show right now.

A Halloween Finish

I finished the stitching portion of this the other night, I think I will finish her into a pinkeep. She is from the CEC leaflet called Ladies' night. The chart is called Foundations. She was a fun stitch.

I purchased a needlepoint canvas called the "Funky Flamingo" that I will work on this weekend and will post pics later.

Have a great day.

I know its been a while!!

It has been awhile since I last posted, I have been busy helping to take care of my brothers affairs. I still can't believe he is gone.

We are having a triple birthday celebration this coming weekend. My family is so large, that we try to combine birthdays together. We all seem to really enjoy doing it that way, Can't believe that my daughter will be turning 26, wow, where has the time gone. We are also celebrating Joe's birthday, he is my daughter's SO. It is also Erica's b-day. She is my niece and loves to spend time with my daughter Nicole.

I do have stitching pictures to post, but that will have to wait until tomorrow. Thats all for now.

Happy Stitching!

He will be missed

It has been a bad couple of days. My older brother passed away suddenly on Saturday. We have been taking care of final resting plans and all that goes with a death. My brother was a great brother, uncle and godfather. He not only was loved by his family but had another "family" that included all his friends. My brother had more friends than I could ever have in two lifetimes. He had fishing buddies, golfing buddies, and all his "customers" at Trackside. He will be missed so much, if you can keep my family in your thoughts, it will be greatly appreciated.

Smell My Feet

This was a fun stitch, it is from the JCS Halloween Edition 08. The designer is La D Da. I am not quite sure if I want to add the tassels like the project in the magazine. I did use havana linen, even though I prefer to stitch on lugana or jobelan. But I do like the color of this fabric.

My monster march

I have been working on The Monster March from Glendon Place while watching the Olympics. It was a fun stitch in just the three colors. I used Colorscapes VooDoo.

Wednesday, August 13, 2008

I really do need to update more often. I have signed up for a couple of exchanges, so I will be busy. Currently I am working on Let's do the Monster March by Glendon Place. I am enjoying stitching this while watching/listening to the Olympics.

An update on my puppy, she has finished all her meds and is doing real well. We have been attempting to train loose leash walking, she is so smart. She picks up new things very quickly.

I finished this cute freebie the other day. The edge has some beads that I had left over from a previous project.

Not a fun evening last night!!

Well we had my puppy Addison spade last week, she was recovering great. We had her stitches removed yesterday morning and everything looked great. She really stayed calm all week and we were very diligent about not getting her excited. Last night, she started to bleed, but not from her stitches. We took her immediately to the vet, they ran x-rays, took a urine sample and gave her an exam. We are hoping that it is just a UTI, she is on meds for two weeks. Hopefully, she is again on the road to recovery.

Well, I made it past the first two weeks at my new job. I really do like it, but oh so much to learn.
A bonus to this new job is my feet don't hurt from being on them all day!

My Last Day of Retail!

Well, I made it thru today. It was a tough day, lots of tears from friends and well wishers. They surprised me with a pretty cake and going away presents.

I now don't have to be at my new job until Feb 11. I have 10 days to assemble some kind of business casual attire for my new job. Right now my wardrobe consists of red and khaki colored clothing. This should be fun!!!

Getting ready for my new job!

I have worked retail for the last 11 and 1/2 years and my feet are killing me. At the end of this week will be my last day in retail. I will start work as a contract administration for a very large corporation. I am excited and a little bit nervous. This means that I will no longer have to work evenings and weekends. What a welcome change. I will keep you posted on my new endeavor.
